Attorney Profile

Christopher J. Wahl provides legislative, regulatory, and litigation counsel to the County on matters relating to the environment, land use, zoning, and animal services.  His duties include drafting legislation, providing regulatory and enforcement counsel to County departments, advising County boards, assisting with the County's lobbying efforts, and representing the County before federal, state, and administrative tribunals at both the trial and appellate levels.  Prior to joining the office, he clerked for two federal judges and worked as a litigation associate in two prominent law firms.  He graduated cum laude from Penn Law, where he served as a legal writing instructor, a chair of the Moot Court Board, and the managing editor of the online edition of the Journal of Constitutional Law.  He also interned for the Honorable Chris M. McAliley, Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
