Angel Petisco serves as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Director of the Information Technology Department of Miami-Dade County, a diversified data processing and communications organization serving one of the largest metropolitan county governments in the nation.
Mr. Petisco began his technology career in 1976 with Southeast banking and concluded his tenure as an operations manager overseeing the data center operations. In July of 1979, Angel joined the Miami-Dade County family in a similar capacity.
In the course of over 30 years with Miami-Dade County, he has had a growing number of diverse and increased levels of responsibilities covering virtually all aspects of information technology. Most memorable, was the creation of what is known today as MetroNet, the county's enterprise internal network.
Mr. Petisco continues to work relentlessly to improve overall services, reduce operational and capital costs while increasing service delivery.
Mr. Petisco holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Thomas Edison State College in New Jersey.
