Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment participation is very important. Please take this opportunity to review your current plan elections and decide if they still meet your needs. Open Enrollment and benefit plan information can be found in the 2021 Benefits Guide.

Join our virtual benefit information sessions hosted by our Benefits team and plan providers. Read the schedule for the dates and times, and click on a link to or enter or register for (where required) a session.

We are pleased to announce a new vision plan and provider. Effective January 1, 2021, Humana will be our new vision plan provider, offering a Standard and Enriched option for you to choose from. Employees currently enrolled in vision coverage must elect a new plan option or be automatically enrolled in the Standard option.

Starting January 1, 2021, Optum will be AvMed's new behavioral health partner.

About Us

The Human Resources Department provides centralized personnel services for all County departments.

We work with departments to identify and assist with workforce issues including a renewed emphasis on performance management and standardized discipline policies, employee development and knowledge transfer, ongoing evaluation of workplace rules, and implementation of workforce metrics to measure and analyze overtime utilization, absenteeism, appeals, payroll issues, and employee development needs.

We coordinate negotiation of collective bargaining agreements and develop viable and sustainable healthcare options. Employee programs include training, wellness and diversity.

We provide residents and employees with a means to have discrimination cases heard and resolved through investigation, mediation, and appeals.
