Attend meetings to discuss the Beach Corridor Rapid Transit Project

Smart Plan

Two public meetings have been scheduled to introduce the Beach Corridor Transit Project. The meetings will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

  • Tuesday, July 25 at the Culmer Community Action Center, at 1600 NW 3rd Ave., Miami, FL 33136
  • Thursday, July 27 at the New World Symphony, at 500 17th ST., Miami Beach, FL 33139

The Beach Corridor, which is one of the six rapid transit corridors in the SMART Plan, will connect the Miami Design District with the Miami Beach Convention Center via the MacArthur Causeway.

The Beach Corridor Rapid Transit Project will examine several rapid transit systems to connect centers of population, tourism and economic growth in Miami-Dade County. Various modes, technologies and alignments will be evaluated, which may result in one or multiple rapid transit options that may be implemented along the corridor.
