A new master plan for Civil and Probate Courts has been completed by Perez and Perez Architects with Dan L. Wiley & Associates, Inc. (DWA). It updates the 2008 master plan, providing a detailed analysis of the current court needs including options for replacing the deteriorating historic Dade County Courthouse.
The new master plan includes an emergency relocation plan and continuity of operations plan for the occupants of the Dade County Courthouse. It also evaluates potential sites for a new Civil and Probate Courthouse.
The master plan is organized into three books. Book 1 covers projections of growth and change in Civil and Probate Courts, planning considerations, and space needs. Book 2 provides Civil Court Planning and Design Standards and Guidelines and Book 3 analyzes alternative building and site options and provides a set of recommendations.Read the plan (35 MB)
