Opioid misuse, abuse and overdose has become a serious public health concern in Miami-Dade County. Attend this town hall meeting on June 19, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at the Historic Lyric Theater, 819 NW 2nd Ave. to ask questions and share your experiences and insights on this crisis.

What are Opioids? Opioids are substances that produce strong, morphine-like effects in the brain. These substances can be obtained with a prescription, like hydrocodone and oxycodone, or can be obtained illegally. When misused and abused, these drugs can cause serious, sometimes fatal, consequences.
