Shiny white waste trucks and a touch of pink!
August 8, 2018 — Solid Waste Management

Be on the lookout for the new Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management's (DSWM) shiny white branded “Let’s Clean Things Up” waste trucks. Over 50 percent of the department’s garbage collection fleet has been replaced with the newer models and more replacement trucks are to come before the end of the summer. The fleet represents a $22 million investment by the DSWM. If you are lucky, you may spot one of three very special trucks painted pink and branded with the message “Let’s Trash Cancer!” The pink trucks serve as a year-round reminder of the department’s commitment to breast cancer awareness and research.
