As kids in Miami-Dade County have begun a new school year, the Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS) will be helping students achieve academic success with the launch of the MDPLS Homework Help and Tutoring Program.

Certified teachers will provide students in grades K-12 with free homework help and tutoring in reading, math and science at 18 library locations throughout the County starting Aug. 25 through June 9, 2019. One-hour tutoring sessions will be held at participating branches on Saturdays at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon, with the exception of the Model City Branch, which will offer sessions on Wednesdays at 2, 3 and 4 p.m.

The program takes place on a weekly basis with the exception of some holidays and school breaks.
