Every Drop Counts Poster

All Miami-Dade County elementary school students from kindergarten through fifth grade were invited to participate in the 11th annual Every Drop Counts Children's Poster Contest. The contest allows elementary school children to showcase their creative talents by conveying the importance of water conservation through a poster drawing, receive a free t-shirt and win prizes. Winners from the 2018-19 contest were recognized on May 21 Board of County Commissioners meeting.

There were 1,228 entries from students in kindergarten through fifth grade representing 41 schools. This year's theme was "Be a Superhero - Conserve Water".

This popular contest is a great way to educate students by instilling an appreciation of water, helping them understand the importance of protecting this precious resource and providing information on how they can conserve water.
