Apply for a Mom and Pop Small Business Grant
The Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program offers funding opportunities for small owned and operated businesses to purchase equipment, supplies, advertising/marketing, inventory, building liability insurance, security systems and to make minor renovations.
Applications are available online from January to May, depending on your commission district. Deadlines to complete the application are also based by district.
Current Mom and Pop Grant applications
- District 4: Applications will be accepted from Feb. 4 through 12 noon on Feb. 22.
- District 6: Completed applications are accepted until 4 p.m., Feb. 22.
- District 7: Completed applications are accepted until 4 p.m., Feb. 22.
- District 8: Applications are available now through Feb. 28. Completed applications are accepted from March 1 - March 8 by 4 p.m. at the District Office.
- District 9: Applications are available now through Feb. 22. Completed applications are accepted until 4 p.m., Feb. 25.
- District 10: Applications are available now through Feb. 22. Completed applications are accepted until 4 p.m., March 1.
- District 11: Applications will be available starting April 8.
- District 12: Applications are available now through Feb. 22. Completed applications are accepted until 4 p.m., March 4.
- District 13: Applications will be available starting March 1.

Eligibility & Requirements
- All businesses must be located in the specified county commission district
- Must be a for-profit business
- Must not be part of a national chain
- A physical address is required
- Home-based businesses can apply
Additional criteria may be required, based on commission district. Review the guidelines section of the application.

Applications are now available. Applications will be accepted Feb. 4 through 12 noon, Feb. 22 at the District 4 Office, 1100 NE 163rd Street, #303, in North Miami Beach.
