NOTICE to OWNERS - On March 7, 2013 the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act, 2013 (VAWA 2013) was signed into law. VAWA 2013 protects individuals who are victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking regardless of sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation, from being denied assistance on the basis of or as a direct result of being a victim of domestic violence. The law was enacted to ensure that PHA’s and owners are consistent with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) nondiscrimination and equal opportunity requirements. To ensure that you are compliant with this new law, you may visit the Miami-Dade Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD) website at http://www.miamidade.gov/housing/housing-choice-voucher.asp and familiarize yourself with your rights and obligations under VAWA, as an owner of housing assisted through PHCD’s Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program . Notices have been sent to the owner/property managers address and/or email on file.

On January 2, 2020, PHCD is transitioning the administration of the Miami-Dade Housing Choice Voucher (MDHCV) Program Inspections Department from CVR Associates to Nan McKay & Associates, Inc (NMA). NMA is the current administrator of the overall Section 8 Program and will now also assume responsibility for the Inspections Department. This change will streamline the administration of the program with the goal of providing owners and tenants with increased customer service while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Beginning Thursday, January 2, 2020, the Inspections Department may be reached by contacting 305-403-3222, via email at [email protected], or by submitting an online service request at www.mdvoucher.com.

Inspection Results are now available to Owners through this portal.
