Our MissionFrom a community-wide perspective, it is vital that we have an educated workforce to lead our 2.6 million residents towards the prosperous future that we all seek for Miami-Dade County. As community leaders, we have a responsibility to guide our young people to realizing their full potential and to celebrate their achievements along the way.
With that goal in mind, we are launching “Actively Investing in Miami-Dade: An Initiative to Educate, Engage, and Retain Our Future Workforce” (the A.I.M. Initiative). As part of the A.I.M. Initiative, the Shining Scholars Awards were created to showcase the talented young people right here in our community by recognizing those students who strive to improve themselves and achieve more.
