Kids can learn how to play safely at Summer Safety Splash

May is Swimming Safety Month and kids are invited to have fun and learn at Summer Safety Splash Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This free event is hosted by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation & Open Spaces Department. Wear swimsuits and bring towels!

The event will include:

  • Water activities for children 1 and older
  • Rescue and water safety demonstrations
  • Free bicycle helmets (with fittings), while supplies last.
  • Poison prevention, bicycle safety and more injury prevention and safety activities
