May is Swimming Safety Month and kids are invited to have fun and learn at Summer Safety Splash Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This free event is hosted by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation & Open Spaces Department. Wear swimsuits and bring towels!
The event will include:
- Water activities for children 1 and older
- Rescue and water safety demonstrations
- Free bicycle helmets (with fittings), while supplies last.
- Poison prevention, bicycle safety and more injury prevention and safety activities
