Surrendering your Pet
Surrendering your pet at an animal shelter is a serious decision that must be carefully considered. Before surrendering your pet, try to find a good home for it by asking family and friends, sharing it online, or putting up flyers at veterinarian offices in your neighborhood.
Animal Services works with rescue groups and humane societies to save as many surrendered pets as possible. However, there is no guarantee that an adopter or rescue group will be willing to take the pet you surrender.
