The tuition fee of $950 per student must be paid 45 days before the first day of class and should be mailed.

Cancellation must be made and confirmed 45 days before the first day of class in order to guarantee full registration fee refund or credit towards another workshop.

Miami-Dade County is not responsible for any expenses incurred due to a cancellation.

Completed Seminar Registration Forms must be received no later than 10 business days prior to the starting date of the workshop.

• All manner of violent death: blunt trauma, sharp force, cutting, stabbing, suffocation, explosion, fire, electrical, water related, mechanical asphyxia, poison, strangulation.
• The N.I.J. National Guidelines for Death Investigation.
• Postmortem changes and what they mean in determination of death.
• Variations of firearm deaths and injuries; projectiles in flight; police shooting investigations.
• Issues related to rape murders and sexual assault.
• The role of alcohol and drugs.
• Child abuse, fatal child maltreatment, crimes against children; elder abuse.
• Effective use of the forensic anthropologist and odontologist (dentist).
• Biological and biochemical terrorism.
• DNA current updates; evaluating/collecting evidence for DNA use.
• Recognize mistakes and how to avoid them; key evidence at scenes.
• Roles of black magic, Palo Mayombe, Santeria, and Voodoo.
• Management of mass disasters.
• Examine legal concerns for effective prosecution.
