National Take Back Initiative

Prescription Take Back Day

 

On Saturday, October 27th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) and the Drug Enforcement Administration will host “National Prescription Take-Back Day."  This initiative helps communities do their part in the prevention of pill abuse and accidental poisoning, by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal to any MDPD district station. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Liquids, needles or syringes will not be accepted only pills or patches.


 
Who: The Miami-Dade Police Department & Drug Enforcement Administration

What:National prescription drug take back day.

When: October 27, 2018, 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.

Where:Collection locations will be at all Miami-Dade Police Department, District Stations.

Why:This initiative addresses a vital public safety and public health issue.
