The Miami-Dade Police Department, Robbery Bureau is investigating an armed carjacking that occurred in Northwest Miami-Dade. According to investigators, the victim went to a nightclub in Downtown Miami. After leaving the nightclub, he drove to an unknown location and fell asleep in his vehicle. The victim woke up and found himself with two subjects sitting inside his vehicle, one of them holding a firearm. The victim was able to escape from the vehicle and ran for several blocks to a gas station, located at 1176 NW 79 Street, where he was able to call 911. Surveillance video captured the image of one the subjects using the victims debit card at the Overtown Metrorail Station, and investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating this individual.
