(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Homeland Security Bureau arrested a man who committed prejudice motivated crimes.
On December 4, 2018, Nadim Siddiqui, deliberately knocked down and damaged a menorah in the lobby of a building. On previous occasions, the City of Aventura Police Department investigated incidents where the same individual demonstrated a pattern of prejudice. A thorough investigation was conducted, to include a review of the subject’s historical crimes and incidents. Investigators collaborated with the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, and obtained an arrest warrant for the enhanced charges related to Nadim Siddiqui’s prejudice motivated crimes. The MDPD Warrants Bureau, with the assistance Florida Department of Law Enforcement, located Nadim Siddiqui at his residence and placed him into custody without incident.
