The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating a shooting that left two persons dead and four wounded.
According to investigators, officers from the Northside District responded to 5801 NW 27 Avenue, regarding shots fired. Upon their arrival, they observed a large number of people running from the parking lot. Officers' discovered four victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) responded and determined two of the victims were deceased. MDFR transported the two other victims who had been wounded to an area hospital. Preliminary investigation revealed that a subject brandished a firearm and began shooting into the crowd gathered in the parking lot of the business.
Approximately two hours after the initial shooting, two additional victims approached detectives on the scene and stated they were grazed by gunfire during the shooting. MDFR responded back to the scene and treated the two victims.
