The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating a hit and run that left a woman seriously injured.
According to investigators, a female was attempting to cross NW 32 Avenue, from east to west, at the 4700 block. A red Toyota Tundra pick-up truck was traveling northbound on NW 32 Avenue, struck the female and fled the scene. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported the victim to JMH Ryder Trauma Center. Her condition is unknown at this time.
Video surveillance from a nearby business captured images of the subject's vehicle as it struck the victim and continued to flee. Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community for additional information regarding this incident.

UPDATE #1: Investigators were able to locate the vehicle and identify the driver involved in the hit and run. He was placed under arrest and charged accordingly.
