According to investigators, on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at approximately 2:12 p.m., units from the Miami-Dade Police Department Kendall District, responded to a shots fired call at the Village at Dadeland community, located at 7530 SW 82nd Street. The responding officers were unable to locate any victims on the scene. The investigation revealed that a male and a female, suffering from gunshot wounds, admitted themselves into South Miami Hospital. The male remained at South Miami Hospital, and he is in stable condition. The female was transported to Jackson South Hospital due to the severity of her injuries. The female was later pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

Officers on the scene located and detained a male matching the description of the shooter.

The investigation continues.

Update #1: Further investigation revealed that all parties involved were conducting a narcotics transaction with Jordan Gutierrez. A verbal dispute escalated to a physical altercation resulting in gunfire. Both Anthony Touzet and Tatiana Hernandez were shot and subsequently driven to South Miami Hospital by Jose Jimenez and Sarah Pagliery.  Investigators were able to identify and locate all of the individuals involved and charge them accordingly.  It was also determined that Jordan Gutierrez was the person responsible for the shooting of Mr. Touzet and Ms. Hernandez.
