According to investigators, the victim and subject were boyfriend/girlfriend and had previously lived together for some time.  Approximately four months ago, the victim decided to move out and reside with her granddaughter. This morning, the subject arrived at the victim's residence and forced himself inside.  He then armed himself with a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times.  The granddaughter, who was inside of the residence at the time, intervened and attempted to aid the victim.  Arriving officers made contact with the subject and placed him under arrest. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported the victim to Kendall Regional Trauma Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.  Charges are pending.
