Homicide

Shooting leaves two dead and two injured.

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating a shooting that occurred during the early morning hours in front of a residence.

According to investigators, the victims were gathered alongside a vehicle when unknown subjects opened fire.  A ShotSpotter signal was received and officers immediately responded.  One of the officers attempted to stop a vehicle leaving the area and the driver refused to stop.  Shortly thereafter, the driver and the occupants abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.  A perimeter was established and three subjects were detained and are being questioned.  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the original location of the shooting, where two victims  were determined deceased on the scene. Two additional victims were transported to JMH Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.  The motive is still unknown.
