The Miami-Dade Police Department, Robbery Bureau is investigating an attempted robbery that occurred at the Riverwalk Metromover Station.

According to investigators, a subject confronted the couple and demanded the female's mobile phone. The victims entered the elevator in an attempt to get away from the subject; however, he followed them into the elevator. The subject punched the male victim, causing lacerations to his mouth. During the attack, the female also sustained minor injuries.  The subject fled the area on foot without any of the victims’ property.  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue treated and released the couple on the scene.

The subject's images were captured by Miami-Dade Transit's video surveillance system and are available on the Media Relations Section FTP Site. Detectives are requesting the community's assistance in identifying and or locating the subject.
