Detectives from Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau are investigating a domestic related murder/suicide.
According to investigators, uniform patrol officers responded to a home regarding reports of a woman shot. Arriving officers discovered a female inside of a car with gunshot wounds to the head. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue determined the female was deceased on scene. The subject’s vehicle description was communicated to other officers and both vehicle and subject were located in the City of Hollywood. City of Hollywood police officers approached the subject’s vehicle and learned that he sustained an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The subject was the victim’s son-in-law. A preliminary investigation revealed the the two were dealing with on-going family issues that culminated with the subject producing a firearm and firing the fatal shots.
