Detectives from Miami-Dade Police Department, are investigating various crime incidents throughout Miami-Dade County.

According to investigators, Robbery Intervention Detail (RID) detectives spotted a vehicle in the area of NW 79th Street and NW 30th Avenue, wanted in connection to numerous robberies, burglaries and thefts.  The vehicle fled from detectives and caused a multi-vehicle crash on NW 49th Street and 12th Avenue.  Two males exited the subject vehicle, carjacked a female, and continued to flee from police.  With the assistance of City of Miami officers, detectives were able to stop the fleeing subjects and take them into custody, at NW 51st Street and 12th Avenue. The subjects were in possession of multiple personal items belonging to victims of previous crimes. Subject (Smith) was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital for minor injuries sustained during the crash. None of the drivers of the other vehicles were seriously injured. Both subjects will be charged accordingly.
