Man Arrested For Selling Counterfeit Luxury Goods


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

Detectives from the Miami-Dade Police Department arrest a man for selling counterfeit luxury goods.

According to investigators, Ulisis Valencia was selling counterfeit designer brand clothing and jewelry from a showroom located in the rear of his business.  Undercover detectives entered the store and observed millions of dollars worth of counterfeit designer items for sale.  As investigators attempted to make contact with the owner, Ulisis Valencia,  he ran out of the business through the rear door and was subsequently detained by detectives positioned in the perimeter.  Mr. Valencia was arrested at the showroom and the counterfeit goods were impounded as evidence.  An audit and inventory of the merchandise impounded, revealed the retail value to be in excess of 9.6 million dollars.
