Shooting Into an Occupied Vehicle |

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Midwest District is investigating a shooting that occurred at the intersection of SW 8 Street & SW 97 Avenue. According to investigators, the victim was stopped at the above intersection, when she observed the subject and another person having a verbal altercation in the vehicle next to her. The victim, then lowered her music in order to hear the argument. Realizing the victim was listening, the subject yelled obscenities at her. Once the light turned green and the victim drove off she heard a single gunshot. A unidentified passerby flagged the victim down and advised her that he witnessed the incident. The victim was not injured. Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating the subject and unidentified passerby (witness). Note: The victim is requesting for media outlets not to contact her.
