Snorkeling

Snorkel along one of two fossilized reefs in the world, and observe underwater creatures such as spotted eagle rays, queen conchs, sea urchins, sea stars and more.

Essential equipment to participate is provided for our Water Adventures.

To request material in accessible format, information on access for persons with disabilities or sign language interpreter services (seven days in advance) call Accessibility Services or TDD.

  • Sea Kayak & Snorkel Adventure

    Kayak on the beautiful, shallow waters of Key Biscayne and explore the protected areas of the Bear Cut Preserve where land meets the sea. Paddle past the sea-grass beds to a fossil reef to snorkel and observe the tropical fish, spotted eagle rays, sea stars and coastal birds that share this fragile and unique environment.

    This program is roughly 2.75 miles long and lasts 3.5 hours. The Sea Kayak & Snorkel Adventure is for ages 9 or older.

    Not available November-March.

  • Fossil Reef Snorkel Adventure

    Explore Bear Cut Preserve's fossilized reef and meet many of its inhabitants on this underwater adventure. Join Crandon Park's naturalists as you snorkel along the fossilized reef (one of only two in the world) alongside spotted eagle rays, queen conchs, sea urchins, sea stars and more.

    This tour lasts roughly 1.5 hours including transportation time. Fossil Reef Snorkel Adventure is for ages 9 or older.

    Electronic devices may be brought at your own risk, but are not recommended on any aquatic tours. Personal kayaks are not allowed.
