Adaptive Sports for Physical and/or Disabilities
Find out about our adaptable sports programs offered throughout the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department.
Team practice for the Miami Heat Wheels wheelchair basketball team as well as skill development for novice players. This program is free and is funded by the Leisure Access Foundation. Limited basketball wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Advanced registration is required. Call 305-752-4966 for more information.

Jr. Paralympic Sports Club
Active games, SPARK activities, and rotating sports for youth who have a physical or visual disability. $40 for 8 sessions. Advanced registration is required. Please contact email@example.com or call 305-234-1673 for more information.

Swimming Lessons & Fitness Swim
Learn to swim classes in group and individual settings. $40 for 8 group sessions or $150 for 8 individual lessons. Advanced registration is required. Call 305-694-4889 for more information.

The Paralympic Experience
A one-day event held every March that highlights various Paralympic and adapted sports. Participants will have the opportunity to try first-hand, various sports and utilize equipment necessary for participation in the sports and will also have the opportunity to meet with local Paralympians, athletes, and coaches.
