Tequesta Adventure

Take an amazing naturalist-guided expedition into the past and learn about the extinct Tequesta Indians who lived at the mysterious Arch Creek from 500 B.C. until 1400 A.D. The tour includes a hike into a tropical hardwood hammock to learn about the native plants used by these early south Floridians, an archaeological dig where children will find real Tequesta artifacts and a pottery class where children can design one of two styles of pottery.

Tequesta Adventure is for students in grade levels kindergarten through eighth grade.

This is an onsite (Arch Creek Park) program only. The Native Nations Program would be the outreach option.

To request material in accessible format, information on access for persons with disabilities or sign language interpreter services (seven days in advance) call Accessibility Services or TDD.
