Summer Camps at Parks

Summer Camps run June 1 - Aug. 9, General camps do not have selected sites opened.  Only Eco or TCT sites open through Aug. 16. You can register online. To register your child in person, visit a participating park.

Registration opens April 29. You can register your child anytime throughout the summer. Siblings will enjoy a 10 percent discount.

  • General Camps

    Children will have their swimming abilities tested by certified safety instructors in a water safety experience that will be educational, fun and lifesaving.

    Our camps are inclusive to children with disabilities. Our Disability Services Camps are exclusively for children with disabilities. 

    We are pleased to now offer Fit2Lead camps for children ages 12-14.  Fit2Lead camps are marked F2L below.

  • Nature Camps

    Develop your child's interest in the environment through exploration and adventure.

    Camp Manatee
    Your child will go on environmental adventures, perform scientific experiments and engage in activities such as kayaking, canoeing and hiking.

    • Ages: 6-14
    • Dates: June 11 - Aug. 17 (no camp July 4)
    • Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; early drop off from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and late pickup from 4 - 6 p.m.

    Camp Black Bear
    Your child will go on environmental adventures, perform scientific experiments and participate in activities like kayaking, canoeing and hiking.

    Camp on the Sea
    Marine science, south Florida ecology and aquatic adventures are the focus of this unique camp. Your child will learn about coastal habitats and off-shore coral reefs through snorkeling, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboard activities.

    Fishing Camp
    Your child can enjoy fishing and improve his or her fishing skills.

    Eco Explorers
    Your child will hike, play and discover how to protect natural areas.

    Expedition Deering
    This camp's activities include hiking, kayaking, science experiments and arts & crafts.

    Junior Naturalist Camp
    This five-day training course encourages your child to take an active role in environmental stewardship and education, and helps prepare them to serve as peer mentors. The program includes certifications in American Red Cross First Aid and Adult/Child CPR as well as an introduction to basic canoeing, South Florida ecosystems, and Leave No Trace. This counselor-in-training program provides service learning hours and prepares the child for experiences, internships, and other opportunities in environmental studies, natural sciences, nature based recreation, and volunteerism.

    Your child will learn about wildlife and conservation through live animal presentations, craft projects, zookeeper talks, wildlife activities, visits to exhibits, recreational games and more.

    If your child has dreams of being an athlete, let them get started on the path with one of these sports camps.

    Basketball Camp
    Trained staff will teach team and individual play using defensive and offensive drills to improve skills and knowledge of the game.

  • Disability

    Children and young adults with disabilities will find enriching camp experiences in sports, swimming, arts and crafts, and field trips. These specialized camps are managed by certified therapeutic recreation therapists.

    Most of these camps offer rolling registration, so you can enroll your child at any time. Register at least one week prior to the desired start date. Choose from six camp locations.
