Lucia Davis-Raiford - Director
She began her career with Miami-Dade County in 2003; prior to that she had an exemplary career in New York City where she worked with the New York City Transit Authority and the New York City Police Department. Ms. Davis-Raiford was the founding Director of the New York Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit where she gained statewide and international recognition. Ms. Davis-Raiford has lectured extensively around the world. Her consult has been sought by legislators, law enforcement, and social service planners from Japan, France, Switzerland, India, Australia, South Korea, South Africa and Botswana among others.
She is an alumnae council member of the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade County; former Chair of the Domestic Violence Oversight Board; board member of the Carrie P. Meek Foundation, Inc. and devotes herself to the development of philanthropy and volunteerism in the African-American community.
Ms. Davis-Raiford has a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Bennett College and a Juris Doctorate in Public Interest Law from the Antioch School of Law.
