Attend a virtual mental health panel

Close to one in four adults suffer from a mental health disorder each year in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. County employees and their family members who struggle with emotional wellness challenges can find support through Employee Support Services and events taking place in May.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Build Emotional Wellness and Thrive is taking place Tuesday, May 14 at the Stephen P. Clark Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is a chance to recharge and de-stress, gather useful tips or learn more about self-care and the support available through the County and community.

In addition, mental health virtual panels will take place weekly from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Join in to learn more about supporting family mental health needs, managing trauma and stress, building compassion and finding support.

Also, Mindfulness Mondays are dedicated to supporting you with stress management techniques and mental health tips.
