On the Move and Stepping this Spring Steps Challenge

WellnessWorks invites you to join the On the Move and Stepping this Spring Steps Challenge. As the flowers bloom this spring, now is the time to get on track and achieve a healthier you by stepping up your physical fitness and enjoying the great outdoors in the On the Move and Stepping this Spring Steps Challenge. Complete 235,000 steps over 4 weeks.

The challenge runs from April 29 to May 26.

Mind and Mood: Practice Stress Management Wellbeing Challenge

Mind your mood and check in on yourself daily with the Wellbeing Challenge. Emotional wellness is showing yourself care and kindness, as you recognize and experience a wide range of emotional stressors in your personal and professional life. Complete one of the three stress management activities and log them for at least 20 days to earn 100 points to complete the challenge.

The challenge runs from May 6 to June 1.

Biometric Screenings

Start the new year by boosting your health with a WellnessWorks Biometric Screening. All AvMed-eligible employees may attend this free screening which includes blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, BMI assessments and a chair massage to earn 25 WellnessWorks points and qualify for a $20 incentive bonus

Wellness Educational Workshop

WellnessWorks invites you to escape the work day for a moment and reinvigorate your health by attending monthly educational workshops at a County location near you for a chance to earn WellnessWorks swag.

You can expect a variety of health-related topics that are relevant to helping you maintain a healthy lifestyle while balancing your life responsibilities and obligations such as work, wellness, family, and much more.

Receive a punch card and collect stickers or punches after each WellnessWorks workshop or other in-person or virtual event you attend. Upon receiving 10 stickers or punches, submit your card to a WellnessWorks health coach or staff member to request your prize.

Biggest Winner Challenge 2024

WellnessWorks challenges you to improve your health and fitness in 12 weeks. Choose your challenge: muscle gain or fat loss.

Registration opens on Jan. 8. Challenge runs from Feb. 12 to May 17. To join your department team, email your Department Personnel Representative or Wellness Liaison to be added to your department team. Teams are based on location.

The challenge will include:
  • Online webinars geared toward burning fat and building muscle
  • Each team will be assigned wellness coaches to guide their success
  • Bodimetrix ultrasound is included to track measurements at initial and final assessments
  • Easy access to special events, measurements and incentives 
  • Awards and prizes

Thirty-four department teams are competing in the annual department teams steps challenge for 2024 to determine which department can accumulate the greatest endurance, stride efforts and step count.

WellnessWorks Incentive Winners

Congratulations to the annual winners of $500 for completing 75 points in all four quarters of 2022/2023 and all fourth quarter winners of $250 for earning 75 points or more.

To enter for a chance at winning the quarterly or annual prize complete 75 points worth of WellnessWorks events or challenges each quarter (i.e. personal health assessment, biometric screenings, webinars, steps challenges, biggest winner challenge).

WellTalks

WellTalks are wellness talks provided by our EAP team. Find mental health tips, coping strategies, meditations and short videos dedicated to improving and maintaining your emotional wellness.

Wellness On Demand

WellnessWorks has created Wellness on Demand, a Microsoft Stream Channel for you to access wellness videos on exercise, stretching, meditation and wellness tips.

Self-Care Webinar Series

The Self-Care Webinar Series features various topics that can help improve your health and wellness. The webinars begin at noon.

Let wellness come to you with health coaching. Health coaching is available by telephone or email.
