County Advisory Board Appointments

Commissioner René García encourages all individuals interested in advocating on behalf of District 13 and Miami-Dade County to make their voices heard by applying for an appointment to a County Advisory Board. Board appointees have the opportunity to advise Commissioner René García and the Board of County Commissioners on issues relating to the board on which they serve. For a complete list of active County Boards see the document below.

In addition, you can become involved in your community by serving on a Community Councils Board. Community Council members help shape their community by making zoning and land use decisions for a specific geographic area. For more information on Community Councils please visit miamidade.gov and type Community Councils in the search engine.

Other opportunities are available with Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization (TPO). The TPO Governing Board Vacancies are Freight Transportation Advisory, Transportation Aesthetics Review, Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory, and Citizens Transportation Advisory.
Please note that all boards may not have vacancies at the time you submit your application. Submit your application by February 12, 2021.

For questions, please contact the County Department or Office that is responsible for the board(s) you may be interested in or email [email protected]. In addition, you may send your completed application and a resume for any of the boards mentioned above to [email protected]
